Payers value the opportunity to contract through HPN because our expert managed care services ease the administrative burden on both payers and their participating providers. HPN's portfolio of payer agreements provide value to payers and providers alike.
Formed in 1997, HPN is West Virginia's leading Physician Hospital Organization. We are affiliated with WVU Medicine. Our member hospitals are listed here.
HPN's mission is to provide a full array of managed care services to its members, including messenger model contracting, delegated credentialing, and managed care education. With the advent of healthcare reform, HPN's mission is expanding to support value-based reimbursement.
HPN provides credentialing/recredentialing services through its NCQA-certified affiliate WVU Insurance Services, and our staff works tirelessly to resolve any credentialing issues that may arise with payers.
HPN's payer portfolio is listed here. Participating members have the opportunity to opt into any HPN agreements. Participants are not required to participate with any payer through HPN. Payers and HPN participants both remain free to contract directly and not through HPN at any time if they prefer.
HPN's newsletter details managed care and healthcare reform topics that WV practices need to know about. We also conduct bi-annual officer manager meetings attended by payers, and our expert staff is always available to answer managed care questions.
HPN is developing value-based arrangements with payers through which HPN members may share savings with payers through increased efficiency. We are also expanding our educational focus to include Medicare/Medicaid payment reform topics.
HPN can assist HPN members to determine whether payers are reimbursing them correctly under their HPN contracts.
